| Description |

The TDI Intro to Tech course introduces students to the world of technical diving.
The objective of this course is to familiarize students with technical gear configurations, to enhance open water diving skills (such as buoyancy, trim, and situational awareness), and to introduce students to advanced gas planning techniques within a no-decompression context.
This course is strictly a no-decompression course; the focus is on skills and techniques associated with technical diving. Upon completion of this course students will be in a better position to determine whether technical diving is for them. |
| Pre-requisites |
|
The student must be a minimum of 18 years of age or 15 with parental consent. The student must also be certified as an SDI Advanced Diver or equivalent Proof of 25 open water dives outside of training. |
| Required Equipment |
|
Basic Open Water SCUBA system (BC, regulator, SPG, computer, weights, cylinder, etc) Ascent reel with a minimum of 150ft of line Lift bag with minimum 25 lbs of lift. |

Because of the demanding nature of technical diving it is recommended that students contact their instructor ahead of time to discuss their goals and reasons for taking the course. Ask the staff at “The” Dive Shop to put you in touch with an instructor. |
