Advanced Open Water Diver

Advanced Open Water

"The" Dive Shop's Advanced Open Water Diver course is a natural add-on to or next step to the Open Water Diver certification.

Benefits  

The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI instructor. This course builds on what you’ve learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving.

Pre-requisites  
  • Certified as PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Junior Open Water Diver, or equivalent
  • Must be at least 10 years old to participate in these Adventure Dives: Altitude, AWARE - Fish ID, Boat, Digital Underwater Photography, Dry Suit, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Underwater Naturalist, Underwater Navigation, Underwater Photography and Underwater Videography. Note: 10 and 11-year-old divers may earn a Junior Adventure Diver certification.
  • Must be at least 12 years old to participate in all other Adventure Dives. Note: 12-14 year old divers may earn a Junior Adventure Diver or Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
Required Equipment  
  • SCUBA equipment, including a personal dive computer
  • Audible signaling device
  • Visual signaling device
  • Deluxe Data Carrier Slate
  • For the Night Dive, each diver needs an underwater light, backup underwater light, as well as a marker light.
  • The Navigation Dive requires and underwater compass

Adventures In Diving Manual or Adventures in Diving DVD
