Now That You're Certified, What's Next?
The entry level training program that you completed was designed to teach the fundamental skills of diving. Now that you have experienced diving in Open Water, we encourage you to refine and expand your skills through a combination of Fun Dives,
trips and the Continuing Diver Education courses listed below. We all know "A good diver is always learning".
"The" Dive Shop's PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course provides a more in-depth look at all aspects of diving and an introduction to a variety of specialty diving activities. Upon completion you will be a more confident and comfortable diver, ready for varied diving environments both locally and abroad. We recommend taking this course immediately following, or shortly after, completing your open water training dives.
| Become an Master Scuba Diver
The Master Scuba Diver rating is the highest recreational diver
rating in the PADI offers. The Master Scuba Diver certification denotes a diver with superior experience and achievement.
Our Master Diver program requires the student to have completed five PADI
specialty training courses, typically the "core" courses listed to the
right, as well as a total of 50 Open Water dives. Training dives do count
towards this total.
Two of the the Core Courses are typically completed
during a single weekend, with Deep & Computer being taught together, and
Night & Navigation being taught together.
The techniques of each course are enhanced
by the techniques of the other. After a weekend of specialty dives, we
recommend that you participate in a similar number of self-directed fun
dives to reinforce your new skills before enrolling in
another class.
